Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then onto the Lake District for four nights.
Today we enjoy one of the highlights of our tour: a visit to Lake Windermere. First we will stop at Bowness-on-Windermere, one of the most popular spots on the lake. There will be time to explore the boutique shops and cafés before we board our cruise.
Watch the stunning scenery go by as you sail on Lake Windermere towards the top of the lake at Ambleside. Once we disembark, you will have some free time to explore the high street in Ambleside before we return to the hotel.
Enjoy a day at leisure where you can relax at the hotel, or join our optional excursion to Penrith with its cosy pubs and quaint tea rooms. This historic market town is a delight to explore with cobbled lanes and a wealth of independent shops.
In the afternoon, we will stop at Ullswater, the second largest lake in the Lake District at 7.5miles long.

Today we enjoy an included excursion to visit the market town of Keswick on the shores of beautiful Derwentwater and calling at Grasmere, which lies at the very heart of the beautiful Lake District.
In the heart of charming Grasmere, you'll find the tiny Sarah Nelson Gingerbread Shop located in the grounds of the pretty parish church - made to a top-secret recipe, this sweet treat is popular with visitors - don't be put off by the queue!
Return home.
